When her drama teacher caught her slicing across the lawn, in order to arrive late for the field hockey game, he advised she to not practice and take part in the production of Richard III and thus began her love affair with acting. Sarah chose to pursue her passion for the art and further her education by majoring in English and Theatre at Hamilton College studying theatre overseas in London as well as Oxford throughout her senior year. After graduating magna cum laude from Hamilton then went on to pursue a degree for a year at Yale Drama school. Sarah's parents urged her to pursue her passion with the art.
