Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is famous for her roles as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Since she was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu. Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz as a child. She played lead roles in TV dramas as young at the age of 16. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge in the commercially and critically profitable Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects throughout her career. Some of these include the British biographical documentary Control, the Greek movie The Dust of Time, and the French historical mini-series Napoleon. She also served on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and also at Cannes Film Festival.
