Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for a long time. Alexandra is famous for her roles in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the only daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu Alexandra stepped into showbiz early and landed up performing lead roles in various TV dramas before she reached the age of 16. She was praised for her portrayal in Der Tunnel. This paved the way to other memorable performances, like Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. Other Oscar nominated films featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra was involved in many noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. Among others, these projects comprise British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. She was also part of the jury for the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
